3. Lead us to self-examination
    - Hard times force us to decide where we really stand and what we really believe.
4. Teach us to entrust ourselves to God
    - You can’t always change your circumstances, but you can always entrust yourself to God.
    - Adversity is the diamond dust that heaven polishes it’s jewels with.
