Crooked Lines

February 24, 2019 Speaker: Kevin Deyette Series: Esther

Passage: Esther 2:1–18

Title: Crooked Lines
Text: Esther 2:1-18

Notes:

When you are vulnerable- be cautious who you confide in and receive counsel from.

Mordecai believes in God, but he is not walking with Him.

Hadassah= Myrtle (Jewish)
Esther= star (Persian)

Esther “belongs” to God, but fits right into the culture around her.

The Bible isn’t full of good people God uses, it’s full of bad people God redeems and uses.

God’s secret hand of providence works through flawed, broken people.

God walks with you EVEN WHEN you don’t walk with Him.

“God permits what He hates to accomplish what He loves” -Joni Erickson Tada.

God writes straight with crooked lines.
