Title: Call to Christ
Text: John 1:35-51
Description: Before a person can grow in their faith, they must first put their faith in Jesus.  In this message, Call to Christ, we'll study Jesus inviting the first disciples to come and see that Jesus truly is the Savior, which is the necessary foundation for our faith.

Outline:

1. Life is not about us (vs. 35-37)
2. Consider Jesus/Come and See (vs. 38-40/43-46)
   -As a church, we must develop a sensitivity to the barriers that will keep someone who doesn't know Christ from listening.
3. Confess Jesus (vs. 36, 41, 45, 49)
   -"You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon, or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God, but let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that option open to us.  He did not intend to."-C.S. Lewis
4. See Jesus for who He really is (vs. 50-51)
