Obey your leaders and submit to them.

Leaders watch over your souls as one who will give an account to God.
a. Who are the leaders going to give an account for?
This verse is best understood in light of local church membership.
Church membership is all about commitment.
a. Church members committing to God and committing to the church leaders.
b. Church leaders committing to God and committing to the church members

Commit to protect the unity of my church.
Commit to share the responsibility of my church.
Commit to serve the ministry of my church.
Commit to support the testimony of my church.
