Topic: Default Passage: Matthew 2:1–2:12

Title: Finding God Above Our Heads
Text: Matthew 2:1-12
Description: This is a passage of contrasts.  To King Herod, Jesus was always nearby.  And King Herod claimed desire, but never worshipped Jesus.  tot he Magi, Jesus was far away.  they had to follow the star to find Him.  They claimed desire, and actuall worshipped Jesus.  We claim desire, but the question is, will we actually worship?

Outline:

The star represents God's revelation of Christ's birth.

Three responses to Christ's birth:
1. Indifference/Scribes (vs. 4-6)
2. Hostility/Herod (vs. 8)
3. Faith and worship/Magi (vs. 9-11)

How will you respond to God's revelation?
