Bad news for all of us: None of us has what it takes to follow Christ.
Good news for all of us: Christ has what it takes to lead us.

The Agonizing Truth:
The Father Kills the Son

• The Father made the Son to be sin.
• The Father poured out His wrath on the Son.
• The Father put His son to grief.

Accusation:
Christians are narrow minded, arrogant, intolerant, bigots.

Claim:
Jesus Christ is the only way to God.

Our Defense:
Jesus Claimed it- John 14:
Peter Declared it- Acts 4:12
Paul Taught it- 1 Timothy 2:5
Gethsemane Settles it- Mark 14:35-36

The importance of prayer:
Prayer protects us from the temptaion to respond to crisis in sinful ways.
