Stronghold:

• A fortress, citadel, thick walls, tall gates, protected, un-penetrable
• A weakness Satan has constructed an un-penetrable wall around in our lives

Jerusalem- an old, difficult, discouraging stronghold

Nevertheless = even though it seems unsurmountable, when no one expects it, against all odds

David’s model for “nevertheless" moments:

1. Turn a deaf ear to old voices
2. Open your eyes to new ideas
3. Trust in the power of Jesus.
