Sermon Text: Ruth 2:1-13

Sermon Notes:

• Each detail in our lives are orchestrated by God’s providence.

• If you don’t live it, you don’t believe it.

• There is a God in Heaven whose hand is upon every moment of every day, who reigns over ever inch of our universe, who has a purpose and plan for redemption for every event in our life.

• Sometimes God uses us to answer our own prayers.

Two functions of prayer:

1. Sometimes prayer moves the hand of God.
2. Other times prayer changes the heart of the one who is asking.

• Why did Boaz extend grace to Ruth? Because he understood the gospel.

• Because of the gospel, we need to love people like Boaz and Jesus did.
