You can not control what happens around you. You can only control what happens within you.

Faith worth living requires persevering with patience through our suffering. Remember:

1. God is coming (v7)
2. God is at work (v7)
3. Extend grace & patience toward others (v9)
4. God's promises are true (v11)

The Christian life is not made manifest through words or verbal promises. It is made manifest through genuine faith and perservering in patience.
