Your identity is not what you do. Your identity is who you are in Christ.

Imprecatory Psalms:

• Curses or prayers for judgement / punishment for God’s enemies
• Include Psalm 5, 10, 28, 31, 35, 40, 58, 69, 109, 139, 140

There’s a difference between vindication and vindictiveness. Vindication is righteous, while vindictiveness simply makes us feel better.

Foundations for a Gospel Identity:

1. Develop a loyalty to God (verses 19-22)
   Love what God loves, hate what God hates
2. Get real before God (verses 23-24)
   Search me, confront me, change me
   Getting real before God is inviting him to redeem your struggles
