Sermon Text: 1 Peter 1:13-21

- What God does for us always precedes what we do for Him.  

What a Christ-follower looks like: 

1. Live in hope (verse 13)
   1. Hope: A Christians attitude towards the future.
   2. God didn’t save you so you can endure this life. You were made to thrive.
2. Live in holiness (verses 14-16)
   1. Holiness means to be set apart or to be dynamically different.
   2. Holiness comes from your heart, not your actions.
   3. To be holy is to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength; and to love your neighbor as yourself. 
   4. Holiness is reflected in your devotion to God and your adoration of Him.  
3. Live in reverential fear (verses 17-21)
