Notes:

• The litmus test of Christianity: Do you have a new love for people?
  
• The only eternal things you can touch in this life are people and the Word of God.
  
  
• Malice: the intention or desire to cause harm or ill will toward another person.  
• Deceit: the action or practice of deceiving someone by concealing or misrepresenting the truth.
• Hypocrisy: pretending to be what you are not; pretending to believe what you really don’t.
• Envy: resentful awareness of an advantage someone else has AND the desire to possess that same advantage.
• Slander: making false statements that make people have a bad impression of someone else. 
  
  
  
• When your identity is rooted in Christ- you are freed to truly love other people.

Spiritual Growth: 

1. Is rooted in craving God’s word
2. Doesn’t just happen over time
3. Isn’t measured by how much you know
4. Is the result of daily decisions
5. Is measured more by actions than beliefs
