Title: Facing Opposition
Text: Nehemiah 4
Notes:

- Opposition, persecution, and discouragement comes on the heels spiritual success, not failure
- The Mission of God is too important to quit!

Satan’s tactics:
1. Ridicule (v 1-3)
2. Threats (v 8, 11)
3. Discouragement (v10-12)
- Most of your unhappiness is due to the fact that you are listening to yourself instead of
     talking to yourself.  

Steps to persevere:
1. Pray first! (v 4-5)
      - "What the church needs today is not more machinery, better organization, new and
         novel methods- but when whom the Holy Ghost can use- men of prayer, mighty
         men of prayer.”  E.M. Bounds
2. Be Vigilant (v 9, 13, 16-20, 21-23)
3. Remember the Lord! (v14, 20)

- Your fight isn’t just for you- it’s for your family, your community, and generations to come.
