The Wisdom of God

Text: 1 Corinthians 1:18-2:16
Title: The Wisdom of God

Paul contrasts the wisdom of the world with the wisdom of God.
Worldy wisdom: Based on man's understanding, abilities, performance, and logic (1 Cor. 1:21,23,24,40.
God's wisdom: The Cross of Christ (1 Cor. 1:18).

The power of God is found in the cross of Christ (1 Cor. 1:18, 24).

The wisdom of God recognizes we are nothing without Christ and we boast in Him alone (1 Cor. 1:29-30).

The cross of Christ is the wisdom and power of God.

Daily Prayers Centered on the Gospel
1. In Christ- there is nothing I do to make God love me any more or any less.
2. God is all I need for everlasting joy.
3. As God's been to me- so I will be to others.
4. I'll measure God's compassion by the cross and His power by the resurrection.
