Passage: 1 Corinthians 10:1– 11:1

Text: 1 Corinthians 10:1-11:1
Title: Living for the Glory of God

An idol is something other than God that we turn to for peace, joy, satisfaction, and completion (1 Cor. 10:1-4).

The Old Testament is recorded as an example that we should learn from (1 Cor. 10:6, 11).

Satan will do anything to disrupt our devotion to Jesus (1 Cor. 10:23-24).

We glorify God when we whole-heartedly love God and others as ourselves.

"A wise man learns from someone else's mistake. A smart man learns from his own mistake. A dumb man never learns" - Russian Proverb.

Three ways to fight idolatry.
1) Name your idols.
2) Confess it and repent.
3) Talk to someone else about your idol.
