Passage: Mark 4:35–41, Acts 12:1–6

Text: Mark 4:35-41; Acts 12:1-6
Title: Peace

"The journey through life is a series of crises- some predictable and expected- and some are total surprises" - H. Norman Wright.

Peace: Having a calmness of heart that originates from an understanding that life is truly in the hands of our loving God.

No matter what storms in life come- Jesus has never lost control for a moment.

You can't get God's peace until you experience God's saving grace in Jesus.

God replaces our anxiety with peace when we keep our faith in the grace of Jesus

Increasing our peace:
1) Focus on gratitude (Phil. 4:6-7).
    - "We all know what love is. It's when we pay interest on trouble even before the bill comes due" - Chuck Swindoll.
2) Think about the good things of God (Phil. 4:7-8).
    - Peace is not an absence of trouble, it's about the presense and nearness of God.
