Passage: Genesis 11:1–9
Text: Genesis 11:1-9
Title: The Tower of Babel
Lessons from the Tower of Babel:
1) Humanity longs for security and greatness.
2) The root of sin is autonomy from God.
- The heart behind sin is my way in my strength, for my glory.
3) Sin leaves towers of disappointment in our lives.
4) God is building a better tower in Jesus.
Security, significance, and greatness come from abiding in God and seeking His will, not our own.
You are known, loved, valued, and approved by God and it's richer, deeper, and last longer than the love of any other person.
Hudson Taylor's Secret:
He learned to let God work His will in him, not by striving and struggling but simply through abiding.
