Title: What We Want Isn't Always What We Need
Text: 1 Samuel 8:1-22

We pursue what we desire (1 Sam. 8:1-8). 

We end up paying for our selfish pursuits (1 Sam. 8:9-17). 

We don't want to be comformed to God (1 Sam. 19-21). 

God lets us make choices but we'll have consequences (1 Sam. 8:22-9:2).  
     - God lets us make choices but He redeems them to bring about His will. 

What we need is not conformity to the world but conformity to Jesus.
