The Bible was written for us but not necessarily to us.

In Genesis, Moses does not attempt or want to explain creation. With reverence he wants to catch us up on the wonder of the creator.

God is the star of Genesis 1

Summary: Genesis 1 was written to fill us with awe at God's majesty as creator.

If we focus on the power, majesty, and sovereignty of God as creator, our love for Him grows much greater.
