Notes:

1. God calls us back. (Genesis 35:1-5)
2. God doesn't start over, he restores. (Genesis 35:5-11)
3. Renewal doesn't insulate us - it orients us. (Genesis 35:12-29)
   - Jacob's life wasn't easier because of what happened at Bethel - Jacob could face it all because he knew where he stood with God. 

Message Summary: After failure, God pursues us with grace toward renewal, so we can stand when life is hard. 

Application:

1. Get up and come back to God.
2. Don't relocate your idols - bury them.
3. Lean into Bethel when the road gets hard.
