How to Backslide:

1. Misalignt your priorites (v. 15-22)
   - Without realizing it — the seculure becomes more important than the sacred, profit more important than purpose. 
2. Mismanage your family (v. 23-27)
3. Misplaced access in your life (v. 28, 4-9)
   - The problem wasn't living near the broken world but giving the broken world too much influence. 

Summary: Assimilation is not about proximity to the world — but who and what you allow to shape you. 

Application: 

1. Relocate your center of gravity 
2. Show the sun is worth orbiting 
3. Weigh what's pulling you
