Text: 1 Corinthians 13:1-13

The Mission of God is an every-member mission

Who has God created you to be?
What has God created you to do?

The most excellent way is the way of love (1 Cor. 12:31).

Foundations about love:
   -We are always motivated by love.
   -True love is selfless love (Phil. 2:1-8).

The way of love:
   -Love flows through you (1 Cor. 13:1-3; Psa. 23:5).
         -You weren't created to be a reservoir to collect God's love, but a conduit which God's love flows through.
   -Love is defined by God, not man (Rom. 5:8).
   -Love lasts forever (1 Cor. 13:8-13).

Love Litmus Test (1 Cor. 13:4-7):
_____ is patient and kind.
_____ does not envy or boast.
_____ is not arrogant and rude.
_____ does not insist on his/her own way.
_____ Is not irritable or resentful.
_____ does not rejoice when others are wronged, but rejoices with the truth.
_____ bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things

The secret to loving like God is to experience the love of God shown to you through Jesus (John 13:34).

How are you actively living out God's love to the world around you?
