Title: Abraham
God's promise to Abraham: A nation and blessing the whole earth.
Abraham's responsibility: Faith and trust.
Covenant: Formalized vow or promise.
God's fulfillment of His promise to Abraham: The nation of Israel and Jesus.
Despite our unfaithfulness, God is faithful in keeping His promises.
Because God keeps His promises:
1) Be willing to wait on God.
2) Take hope in His promises.
- To be with your always (Josh. 1:9, Matt. 28:20).
- To be faithful (Heb. 10:23).
- To extend love and compassion (Isa. 54:10).
- God has a plan for your life (Eph. 2:10).
- He will avenge injustice (Rom. 12:9).
- To give you rest (Matt. 11:28).
- Nothing can separate you from His love (Rom. 8:38-39).
- To take His children to heaven (John 14:3).
- T0 fix what's wrong in the world (Rev. 21:4).
