Our root issue and primary problem is not a specific difficulty in our lives, but that we're guilty of rejecting God. 

Good news: God answers our guilt problem. 

The answer to our guilt is forgiveness of sin by repentance and faith in what Jesus accomplished on the cross. 

Once our guilt is squared away and we are pursuing a relationship with God, his blessing is the by-product. 

Repentance and faith in Jesus lead first to forgiveness of sin and secondly to God's blessing. 

Focus on a relationship with God Himself, not just focusing on His blessings.
