Encouraged and Justified
August 13, 2023 Speaker: Kevin Deyette Series: Acts
Passage: Acts 13:13–52
Text: Acts 13:13-52
Title: Encouraged and Justified
The problem in the world (and in us) is our sin against God.
Justification: The gracious act of God where He decalres a sinner righteous through faith in Jesus' sacrifice. Just as if I've never sinned.
Justification (when you experience total forgiveness, acceptance, and freedom in Jesus) is the greatest encouragement we can receive in a broken world.
Biblical Affirmations:
1) Because of Jesus, there is nothing I can do to make God love me any more or any less (Eph. 2:8-9).
2) I am fully loved and accepted by God, therefore I have nothing to prove to anyone else (Col. 2:9-10, 3:3-4, Isa. 32:1, 2 Cor. 12:9, Ps. 16:11).
