Idol: things we turn to and pursue apart from God, looking for peace, joy, security, comfort, and joy. 

Resolved in the Spirit: steadgast commitment to honor the Lord with everything in life. 

When the hope of the gospel is proclaimed, idols are exposed as week and insufficient. 

A resolved, steadfast life for God exposes and diminishes the idols in our lives and the world around us.
